As the 8th wonder in the world, terracotta warriors and horses have always been popular, and a steady stream of tourists go to the queue every day. People who have seen the real terracotta warriors and horses are impressed. The ancestors of China mastered such superb ceramics craftsmanship as early as 2000 years ago! Each of these more than 7,000 terracotta warriors and horses is different and lifelike. Now it is time for you to discover on your own after your boat arrives in Tianjin.
Many people are not aware that they can fly or take the train to Xina without going through Beijing. We have designed special itineraries to show you how.
* Same Day Express Tour between Tianjin and Xian
Take the flight at 7 am and arrive in Xian at 9 am. Tour the Terracotta Warriors in the afternoon. Take evening fight back around 10 pm to Tianjin from Xian. Or, take an overnight train from Xian to Tianjin and arrive in Xian the next day morning.
* Two-day Express Tour from Tianjin to Xian
Day 1: Take a morning flight (9 am to Xian and arrive in Xian in two hours. Visit Big Goose Pagoda, Huaqing Hotsprings, and Muslim Quarters. Enjoy Xi'an's special dumpling dinner and watch the magnificent Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. Stay overnight in Xian.
Day 2: Half day tour in the morning to the famous Terracotta Warriors. In the afternoon, take a bullet train or flight back to Tianjin.
What you should know
Every day, there are ten flights between Tianjin Binhai International Airport and Xi’an Xianyang International Airport from 7 am to 10:30 pm. Based on our experience, it usually takes at least 2 hours to get yourself disembarked although you arrive at Tianjin Xingang early in the morning around 6 am. We often book our guests 10 am flight or after to make sure you will not miss the flight because of the slow disembarking process. From Tianjin Cruise Port to Binhai Airport, it is about 60 kms and is 70 minutes by car.
There are six bullet trains between Tianjin and Xian. The travel time is about 6 to 6.5 hours. Fromt the curise port, it is 67 kms and takes 80 minutes.
It may be worth to travel to Beijing and visit the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, etc. in the capital for the first day and take a flight or overnight train to Xian. Tour the Xian the next day and fly back to Xian.
