Many people are not aware that they can fly or take the train to Xian without going through Beijing. We have designed special itineraries to show you how.

Sample Itineraries

* Same Day Express Tour between Tianjin and Xian

Take the flight at 7 am and arrive in Xian at 9 am. Tour the Terracotta Warriors in the afternoon. Take evening fight back around 10 pm to Tianjin from Xian. Or, take an overnight train from Xian to Tianjin and arrive in Xian the next day morning.

* Two-day Express Tour from Tianjin to Xian (if you arrive on previous day)

Day 1: Take a morning flight (9 am) to Xian and arrive in Xian in two hours. Visit Big Goose Pagoda, Huaqing Hotsprings, and Muslim Quarters. Enjoy Xi'an's special dumpling dinner and watch the magnificent Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. Stay overnight in Xian.

Day 2: Half day tour in the morning to the famous Terracotta Warriors and City Wall. In the afternoon, take a bullet train or flight back to Tianjin.

* Two-day Express Tour from Tianjin to Xian (if you arrive on the same day)

Day 1: Take an afternoon flight and arrive in Xian in two hours or take a bullet train to arrive in six hours. Rest in the afternon. Enjoy Xi'an's special dumpling dinner and watch the magnificent Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. Stay overnight in Xian.

Day 2: Half day tour in the morning to the famous Terracotta Warriors. In the afternoon, take a bullet train or flight back to Tianjin.

What you should know

Every day, there are ten flights between Tianjin Binhai International Airport and Xi’an Xianyang International Airport from 7 am to 10:30 pm. Based on our experience, it usually takes at least 2 hours to get yourself disembarked although you arrive at Tianjin Xingang early in the morning around 6 am. We often book our guests 10 am flight or after to make sure you will not miss the flight because of the slow disembarking process. From Tianjin Cruise Port to Binhai Airport, it is about 60 kms and is 70 minutes by car.

There are six bullet trains between Tianjin and Xian. The travel time is about 6 to 6.5 hours. Fromt the curise port, it is 67 kms and takes 80 minutes.

Via Beijing

It may be worth to travel to Beijing and visit the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, etc. in the capital for the first day and take a flight or overnight train to Xian. Tour the Xian the next day and fly back to Xian.
