Forty years ago, villagers worked in the fields, unaware that they had fallen into an ancient passage. The tunnel collapsed around them, sending tumbling dust high into the sky above. Finding themselves surrounded by a group of heavily armored warriors: a group of life-size ceramic soldiers stared blankly at their intruder. It counts the unearthing of the Terracotta Warriors of Qin Shi Huang. Visit these 2,000year-old warriors in Xi'an!
The Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum is located in Qinling Town, Lintong District, Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. It was established in November 1975 as the original Qin Shi Huang. The Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum was officially opened on October 1, 1979, at the northern foot of Mount Li, 7.5 km east of Lin Tong County. Emperor Mausoleum Terracotta Warriors and Horses pit site, 37.5 km west of Xi'an. As of January 2020, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum of the First Emperor of Qin has received more than 80 million visitors at home and abroad.
Where is the panda's home? Just south of Xi'an is Chengdu. It's only a three-hour high-speed train ride from Xi'an to Chengdu.
Chengdu Giant Panda Base, the largest panda population globally, is both a research facility for giant panda breeding and a mock-up of the giant panda population. This ecological park is home to more than 100 pandas in their wild habitat. Here, you can watch the pandas through a fence or a glass window, and if you are lucky, you can even see their silly behavior in the open air! If you're lucky, you'll be able to see a newborn panda baby in the delivery room. It's also where the "Kung Fu Panda" crew came to see how the pandas lived in 2008. Thanks to the bullet train system, it has become so easy to get to Chengdu from Xian.
When you arrive in Xi'an, you don't expect the precious pandas to be so close to you. You can visit this panda base in the morning to see the adorable pandas. If you want and have time, we can arrange to spend a day volunteering at another panda base near Chengdu. You'll prepare no meals for the pandas, clean their homes for them, and feed them when lunch is ready. After a hard day's work, you will receive a certificate of volunteerism, allowing you to make your contribution to the conservation of rare animals.

The Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses, the burial pit of the Mausoleum of the First Emperor of Qin, where moe than a thousand terracotta soldiers were unearthed, each with a gesture of expression. Each is different. Standing in front of the huge underground military battlefield, you will feel the extraordinary strength of the First Emperor who overthrew six kingdoms and unified the world 2,000 years ago. It took 38 years to build, and when the first emperor Ying Zheng came to the throne at the age of 13, he started to build his own mausoleum, recruiting hundreds of thousands of people all year round. In the spring of 1974, when local farmers dug a well and found a ceramic warrior's head, it was built at a cost of 38 years.
The terracotta warriors were able to see the light of day, and three pits are currently being excavated. Currently excavated three pits scenery of the first terracotta pit, is the earliest excavated, the largest pit. The first one is the first and the second one is the second. The three pits have a total of nearly 8,000 terracotta figurines and terracotta horses that are similar in size to real people and real horses. Within the scenic spot there are unearthed cultural relics showroom and Qinling bronze carriage showroom, respectively display the unearthed bronze weapons and two bronze carriages.
The terracotta warriors and horses unearthed according to the different costumes, demeanor, hair style, can be divided into general figurines, warrior figurines, carriages and so on. . Each terracotta figure has a different face, hairstyle, body shape and look. The terracotta figurines and horses were originally painted, but due to later fire and soaking, most have peeled off and changed color. The Terracotta Warriors and Horses scenic area is full of tourists every day, and you can avoid the peak when you visit, starting with the smallest pit three. After the tour, visitors can take a free coach to the mausoleum of the First Emperor of Qin for about 5 minutes.
The Terracotta Warriors receive more than two million visitors from all over the world every year, especially on holidays, when the pavilion can be overflowing with people. Therefore, it is not recommended that you choose to visit during China's Golden Week (first week of May, first week of October) and the students' summer holidays (July mid-teens to mid-August).
