Some Chinese companies like playing games with the visitors to their Websites. It is commonly know that running a hike to the Great Wall from one day to multiple days creates appropriate and necessary costs. But those "companies" sells you a really low group rate only when a large group is formed, which is not likely to happen with many tours. They ask you to commit, but upon the time you are flying to China, inform you that your tour has been cancelled. The sudden cancellation will you hapless and helpless. We've received more than dozens of such case last year who came to Great Wall Adventure Club for urgent help.

A few agents claim they can do so but that's not true. What they usually mean is that they may take you to camp somewhere near the Great Wall  or to sleep in a guesthouse. They can also tell you that camping is no longer available for an unknown reason. 

Not us. For each participant (even children), we pay a hefty relic preserving fee to the Great Wall administration office. This fee allows for you to camp on the Great Wall legally and safely. Great Wall Adventure Club is the only company approved by the Great Wall Administration Office to offer camping to international guests.  

Many travel agents struggle to survive because they do not have the reputation or qualified teams to offer the service. A full quality team costs money to build and can take long. Therefore, they will try to cut corners. The common ways to do are:

1) Use vehicles that are not licensed to run the service;

2) Use cheap or poor vehicles that are old and in possible bad condition;

3) Hire the ones who do not have licenses to work as tour guides;

4) Hire the guides who can't speak good English;

4) Take you to shop factory stores so they can earn significant commissions.
